Draft — pending legal review. This is a plain-language working draft, not final terms and not legal advice. It may change before StudioClarity launches; if it does, we'll update the date at the top and tell studio owners about changes that matter.

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

This explains what information StudioClarity (Flad Logic) handles, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website, studio owners and staff who use StudioClarity, and the parents and students who use a studio's family or student portal.

Two kinds of information

  • Information a studio keeps in StudioClarity: families, students, classes, attendance, invoices and payments. The studio decides what goes in and what it's used for; we handle it on the studio's behalf and only to provide the service (see our Data Processing Addendum). If you're a parent or student, the studio is your first contact for questions about your information.
  • Information about studio owners and our website visitors: the account details an owner gives us at signup, and basic records of how our website and app are used. For this information, we decide how it's used, as described below.

What we collect

  • Account details: names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses, and a scrambled (hashed) version of each password. We never store passwords themselves.
  • Studio records: students' names, birthdates, levels or ranks, any medical notes the studio adds, enrollments, attendance and check-ins.
  • Billing records: invoices, payments, credits and refunds. Card and bank details are entered with Stripe, our payment processor; we only see things like the last four digits.
  • Files a studio uploads, such as class music and videos.
  • Agreements: when a parent agrees to a studio's policies, or an owner agrees to our terms, we record who, which version, when, and the device's IP address and browser.
  • Activity and security logs: sign-ins, failed sign-ins and changes, with the time and IP address, so studios can see who did what and we can keep accounts safe.
  • Emails we send: who an email went to, what kind of email it was, and whether it was sent.
  • Cookies: one cookie keeps you signed in to a studio, and demo visitors get one that remembers their private demo. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

How we use it

  • To run StudioClarity: show schedules, send invoices and receipts, take payments, record attendance and send the emails the service needs.
  • To keep it secure: detect suspicious sign-ins, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
  • To support studios when they ask for help.
  • To tell studio owners about their account, billing and important changes.

We don't sell personal information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't use a studio's family or student data to market to them.

Children

Studios often teach children, so a studio's records include children's information that the studio or a parent enters. A studio may give a student their own login for check-in and class files; for a child under 13, the studio is responsible for getting a parent's permission first. Parents can ask the studio to see, correct or delete their child's information, and we'll help the studio do it.

Who we share it with

  • The studio you belong to, and the staff it gives access to. Instructors only see what they need for their own classes.
  • Service providers who help us run StudioClarity, listed on our Subprocessors page. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
  • When the law requires it, such as a valid court order, or to protect someone's safety. Where we're allowed to, we tell the studio first.
  • If Flad Logic is sold or merged, the new owner must keep these promises or tell you before anything changes.

How long we keep it

We keep a studio's information while its account is open. When a studio closes its account, it has 30 days to export its data; then we delete it, except billing records we must keep by law. Backups are deleted on a rolling schedule within 90 days.

How we protect it

  • All connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and backups are encrypted and stored off-site.
  • Each studio's data is kept separate from every other studio's, and each studio has its own sign-in.
  • Passwords are hashed, and links in emails only work once and expire.
  • Money records can't be edited or deleted, only corrected with a credit, refund or void, and every change is logged.

If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll tell the affected studio without undue delay so they can tell you.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information. Parents and students: ask your studio, or email us and we'll pass it to them. Studio owners: most of this is in your settings, or email us. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we'll honor them.

Where it's stored

StudioClarity and its data are hosted in the United States.

Changes and contact
